The Roofing Alliance has announced 10 teams for its 11th Construction Management Student Competition.
The Roofing Alliance’s student competition promotes careers in roofing industry management. In addition to providing a significant learning opportunity, the competition fosters an environment that will bring out the best in each team; encourage dialogue among the students; and foster team spirit as students rise to meet the challenge. It features teams of four college and university students testing their roofing, project management, estimating, safety, quality control and presentation skills.
The Roofing Alliance is pleased to announce the following 10 schools have indicated their intent to participate in the 11th annual student competition:
- Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.
- Bradley University, Peoria, Ill.
- California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
- Clemson University, Clemson, S.C.
- Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers
- Illinois State University, Normal
- Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge
- Texas A&M University, College Station
- University of Florida, Gainesville
- University of North Florida, Jacksonville
The teams will submit a qualified bid package for the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel. Competition judges will review the proposals, and finalist teams will be announced in January 2025. Finalist teams will present Feb. 20, 2025, during the International Roofing Expo® in San Antonio. Winners will be announced that evening at NRCA’s Industry Awards and Reception.
